BD.20.002 – Data, Artificial Intelligence and SME Innovation (DAISI)
The digital revolution rapidly changes our core concepts of the economy. Most SMEs fail to reap opportunities for digital innovation, having less data, less digital skills, and less resources than their large(r) counterparts. This project will provide SMEs with the insights and tools necessary to boost their chances for a successful digital transformation. The Netherlands risk to exclude most SMEs in the digital transition, because our knowledge and understanding of digital business do not account for SMEs with less data, digital skills, and resources. This project develops a theory of the digital firm, and AI tools that help SMEs organize responsible data sharing and profitable experimentation, for an inclusive digital transition.
